Cartagena's fortress: The Rise of the Wall Part I
Walk the city walls of Cartagena with our special audiotour and commentary narrated by the voice of Antonio Arévalo, one of its creators. Starting in San Pedro Martir Bastion where you will spot from far the San Felipe Fortress. Your narrator will lead you to understand the reasons why these great fortress were build and the different elements of colonial military engineer that made it the best defense weapon from the attack of pirates for different centuries. You will pass the Serrezuela old bull ring, and the Saint Lucas and St Catalina Bastion, as well as learning of the water reserves for colonial times that were built within the fortress. Your tour ends as you pass the pop quiz of all the learnings and, if you are lucky you will get to hear and visit the inside of the cistern with special 3D sound effects. This tour can be done independently from the part two of the fortresses.
