On this self guided tour, and following the special sound effects and the voice of Spartacus, one of the greatest gladiators of all times, you will discover his story on how he led the rebellion freeing many slaves and gladiators. As you admire the ancient monument, you will be amazed to learn all the stories within the building that symbolizes the horror, ingenuity and glory of the Romans. Within, you will discover the symbol of the martyrdom of Christians in the arena, the naumachia, a naval battle that was simulated for a show. Like walking in a movie, Spartacus offers special commentary for you to be able to imagine a scene in the past as you discover the ruins within the Colosseum. You will spot the majestic awning velarium which provided shade for the spectators who watched the gladiatorial games in the blistering sun and heat of Ancient Rome. The legends of the gladiators come to life as you learn the story of great warriors such as Spiculus, Carpophorus and Priscus.
