The Tower of Belem
On the bridge that welcomes you to the tower you will begin this special journey as you discover a very special gift that the governor of Portuguese India gave to King Manuel I of Portugal which gave birth to the legend of Ganda. Your narrator is no other, but the patron of Lisbon and the man who gave purpose to the construction of this building: Saint Vicent. As you discover the interior of the the tower on the first floor your narrator reveals the military role that the Tower has played in local history. You will see the different floors as the narrator tells you the history of the monument and his own personal tragic story as a martyr during roman times. You will finish your tour as you admire the amazing view from the top of the building with an emotional narration.
